Trying to save the world with the "Healing Machine"...
So, I have this professor who thinks that he has a "machine" that can heal people...yea, crazy I know. Perhaps it looks something like the pic, but I am not sure...
I thought that once I got to college that I would gain knowledge from professors , however, now I am not sure. He is convinced that he can use this machine to heal people of diseases, mental problems, etc....I tend to think that he has some mental problems of his own...
The other day in class he told us that anyone can go on the machine, he just to know their birthday and the town where they were born. In fact, he said that he can put people in other states or countries on the machine too through"subspace"...yea right. He claims that all his findings are about quantum physics, but I don't think that physics ever involved "healing people."
You know the thing that startles me the most is not the craziness of his ideas, but the fact the he is trying to play a role that he was not created for- GOD. Anyone who tries to take power and have control over those things which God has ordained to be His, is messing around with things of which he has no control.
I am convinced that although my professor seems to convince himself that he is going to save the world, he is going to fail trying. He should have heard the words of Jim Elliott, a missionary, who had a proper perspective on this world, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."
Everyone, please buckle your seat belts.....
So, I am counting down the days until summer break and just in case you are wondering, there are 42!! After finishing school, I am heading out of the country for the summer....to the delightful country of Wales! Yes, I am traveling with 5 other college students to be an intern at a church there.
I am staying with a Welsh family over there with one other girl intern that is from Erskine College. I spoke with one of the Welsh pastors and he told me that only 5% of the population claim to be christians and 3% are female and over 60. So most the college and young adults are not familar with the gospel, but however, they are very open to hearing the Word. The pastor also told me that there are 7 sheep for every one person. ...sounds pretty crazy, huh? I am so excited about the opportunity that God has given to me and I hope that I will be an example of His love and mercy. Please pray that God will use us while we are there and I will be using this blog to update you guys about all the news!!
Fun Pics!!
Here are some pics from Spring break!! Good times with the girls!
