If only the days lasted longer...

I am starting my final week here in Wales. I can't believe that the time has gone by so fast. God has provided me with so many wonderful friends and opportunities to share His love with others. We had a team from Greenville come and they did a combination of things from Kids Clubs, Youth nights, and sports clubs. We had a great turn out with around 60 kids everyday and many accepted the Lord as their Savior. Some are planning on coming to the youth events that continue to go on here even after the American Team has left. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers over the past 8 weeks. God has done some incredible things and I have learned so much. I am looking forward to seeing you all and sharing how God has worked over the past 2 months. Can't wait to see you all soon! Here are some fun pics from the past couple weeks... Fun times in the park!!! Some of my youth from Sunday Evenings Two girls that I hung out with this week, Haley and Luann
The sunset over the Welsh Hills.....beautiful!!!

6 weeks down....can you believe it?

Well, I am starting my 6th week here in Wales and it is crazy how fast the time has past. The longer I am here, the more I want to stay!! God has given me such a heart for missions in the UK and I am looking forward to opportunities to come back and teach here one day.
This past week, we had a short-term mission team from Atlanta here. They did a variety of activities from concerts, sports, teaching in the schools, etc. It was a great time and the kids loved having more Americans here! The kids clubs this summer have been one of my favorite activites...I was able to take some pics of our youngest club. Each week they are so excited to learn more and so sweet to listen as I teach.
We were also able to go to the beach this week with the youth and it was so much fun! The wind was strong, as you will be able to tell from the pics, but the view was incredible! I am totally amazed at God's creation....you can see it so vividly here. Here is Laura and I, braving the wind!! She says hi!THE VIEW!!! Can you imagine getting to see that everyday? I am jealous!
Please be praying for this weekend. We are having a big event in the park with different speakers and bands. Pray for opportunities to share and that lives would be touched. Also, pray for continued relationships with the youth here in Ponty. Praise for Christine' sister and her health and also for unity in the churches here in Ponty at the event this weekend. Also, please pray for continued team unity and that Christ would be glorified in all we do! Miss you all!

Time is flying by....

Well, it has been a couple of days since my last post. So much has been going on and it seems that time is flying by here. This past week was a mixture of assemblies and kids clubs as well as a BBQ and a girls night that I planned. All of my encounters with the youth have been wonderful and I am very encouraged about the relationships that are being built.
On Friday, we were able to organize the youth meeting for about 25 students. We discussed the topic of Faith and had a great time with games, music, and teaching. We had a game with raw
eggs ...Here is a funny pic from the games...

Today we took a trip to some of the castles around the area. Caerphilly Castle, as seen in the pics, was built back in 1200's. I was amazed at how old is was since we don't have anything like that at home. I was able to take some of the girls from the youth group as well and we had a awesome time together!

We were also able to go to the beach last week. The most amazing part about it was that there were mountains on one side of the ocean and valleys on the other. There were huge rocks that we were able to climb up and look out over- the view was gorgeous! ( As you will be able to tell from the pics....) Thanks for all the e-mails and prayers...I have been very encouraged. Please continue to pray for one of our teammates, Christine, who had to return to the states because of her sister's illness. Pray for team unity and our influence on the youth here in Ponty. Praise for the relationships that are being established with the youth here and pray for continued growth. Pray for God's work in the Welsh community and that His will will be done. Miss you all!!
